VM had different talents from DW when they first entered Canton. VM brought Adios Nonino to Igor and asked him to choreograph it. They asked for a tango, he spoke to tango dancers and no dancers were brave enough to even dance to it because of the constantly changing rhythm/mood, saying it’s too hard to dance to, but VM knew they wanted to do it and committed.
He was amazed at their connection at a young age.
Says that Scott was acting as a man (and not a boy) on ice at 14 or 15. They had a man/woman connection as children.
His partner skills are some of the best he’s seen on the ice, because everything he does on the ice, he does for Tessa - the way he presents her and presents himself.
Meryl & Tessa are the perfect partners and know how to respond to their partners.
